HOUSTON Federal investigators are searching for three suspects in connection with an armed robbery of an armored car earlier this month in north Houston.

According Crime Stoppers, two armed men robbed an armored car courier at the intersection of Aldine Bender Road and Airline Drive at 12:25 p.m. on Aug. 9. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspects fled the scene in a black Mercury Sable.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 18-30 years old, standing 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 120 to 140 pounds. At the time the robbery, he wore a long black sweater, beige jeans, a black ski mask and black gloves.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 18-30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 150 to 160 pounds. The suspect wore a long black sweater, black jeans, a black ski mask and black gloves during the robbery.

No description of the third suspect, who drove the getaway car, has been made available.
