HOUSTON -- It was supposed to mark a new beginning for a couple and their six children. Instead, the family's recent move to an east Houston home ended with gunfire that left both parents dead.

A relative said they had been together since high school. Theyhadtwo boys andfour girls, who ranged in age from 6 to 15.
They was real down to earth people, cousin Donald Lee said. They got along just, the average family.
But another relative, who did not want to be identified, said the couple fought a lot. Sunday night s argument took a violent and fatal twist.
While the parents finished their move, the children had been staying with an aunt. Then, just before 11 p.m., the two oldest came home and discovered their parents shot to death.
