SAN ANTONIO -- Police say a San Antonio woman used her young daughter and a cookie-selling act to rob elderly victims inside their homes.
Tawanna Johnson, 24, was arrested on Saturday.
San Antonio police Sgt. Russ Van Geffen said Johnson would act like she was selling cookies door to door with her young daughter, and then ask her victims if the girl could use their restroom.
Once inside, Johnson would allegedly attack her victims and ransack their homes.
Van Geffen said officers were able to recover some of the stolen goods.
He said he also wants to remind homeowners -- especially senior citizens -- to use caution when dealing with unfamiliar visitors.
