HOUSTON Police were looking for a male suspect after a teenage girl was shot and killed Friday night in southeast Houston.

Police said the 17-year-old girl was standing on the sidewalk near Sapling Way and Braeswood when a man ran down the street firing a gun. The victim, who was struck, died at the scene.

Witnesses said they heard several gunshots then saw the gunman flee to a nearby apartment complex.
