HOUSTON Houston police on Friday released surveillance video from an armed robbery at a Sprint phone store near Meyerland Plaza.
The crime happened just after 1:30 p.m. on July 17 in the 4800 block of Beechnut, according to the Houston Police Department.
HPD said three men between 25 and 30 years old went into the store and demanded money from the employees. One suspect struck a worker with his gun. The suspects then fled with cash and several cell phones.
No shots were fired.
These suspects are violent, and they re assaulting these employees for no reason, said Officer Alexandra Harrell with the HPD Robbery Division.
If they re doing it in daylight, it makes me wonder how safe is it to come here even in daylight, said Monique King, who works nearby.
Investigators believe the same suspects committed a similar robbery at another Sprint store at 2802 North Shepherd Dr. about 9:25 a.m. on July 9.
They re also allegedly responsible for a holdup at a T-Mobile on FM 1960 at Eldridge on Wednesday, police said.
They re innocent they don t deserve that... they don t know those people... it just happens, Andrea Sims, who works nearby the T Mobile, said.
The men were wearing masks, so a detailed description is not available, but it s believed they fled in a black Chevrolet Impala.
