HOUSTON -- Police said a driver was killed when he crashed while going the wrong way on Fannin at a high rate of speed.

It happened early Friday morning in downtown Houston.

According to police, the crash was likely alcohol related. Police said the driver crashed into a taxi and a BMW, flipping his vehicle.

The offending driver died at the scene.

There were no injuries reported in the vehicles that were hit, however.

Police said at least one other wreck possibly involving alcohol occurred early Friday when a woman crashed into a tree on Richmond Avenue.
