SAN ANTONIO -- Police have released some shocking details in a story KENS 5 first brought to you earlier this month.
Arrest made in man's death initially thought to be 'due to bad weather'
Police said a man is in jail for the murder of 29-year-old Russell McKinley.
McKinley's body was found floating in Salado Creek on May 9, and police initially thought the bad weather may have played a role in his death.
But now authorities tell KENS 5 that Allen Fluitt has been charged with McKinley's murder.
Police said they were able to piece together evidence after they found trauma on McKinley's body.
