HOUSTON Friendswood police say they caught a Pearland man running near an elementary school with no clothes on Monday.

An officer was patrolling around Westwood Elementary, located at 506 W. Edgewood, shortly after midnight when he spotted 32-year-old David Aulds running naked.

When Aulds saw the police officer, he ran and hid behind a brick column, police said.

Police said the officer waited as Aulds got into a vehicle, turned off the headlights and attempted to leave, but the officer pulled Aulds over in the 200 block of Stadium.

By that time, Aulds had put on a pair of shorts and a T-shirt.The officer said Aulds claimed that he was just out exercising.

Aulds was charged with disorderly conduct exposing genitals, driving on the wrong side of road and driving without headlights.
