HOUSTON The Katy Tigers defeated the Manvel Mavericks, 56-14, on Friday night, advancing to Class 5A Division 2 state semifinals for the second year in a row.

It was the 30th straight victory for Katy dating back to last year.

Katy running back Rodney Anderson had another huge game. The junior, who's committed to Texas A&M, ran for 241 yards and 4 touchdowns.

The Tigers will now face the winner of Cibolo Steele and San Antonio Johnson. That game will take place on Saturday, December 14th at 4 pm at Reliant Stadium.
