HOUSTON -- Things were relatively quiet here at the Acres Homes clinic where Dr. Conrad Murray once worked.
But his former patient wondered if that would all change soon, given the fact that Murray was a free man.
The pictures hit the internet showing Murray enjoying a hamburger, his first meal after leaving a California jail.
He served two years of a four-year sentence for involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.
It is thought Murray could come back to Texas.
His attorney has filed an appeal with the state to have his medical license reinstated.
The move was being applauded by Murray s former patients.
He s a good doctor, said Ismail Shakur. My parents used to use him and so did my grandparents.
Doctor Murray didn t do any crime here, said Ruby Mosley. He didn t pay any fines and he didn t do any time.
Murray s attorney said the embattled doctor plans to spend time with family both in California, and here in Houston where his sister and mother reside.
In addition to the appeal surrounding his medical license, attorneys are also appealing his criminal conviction.
And attorneys said that at some point, Murray plans to tell his side of the story.
