HOUSTON -- Houston area law enforcement agencies are looking into whether the men behind a deadly robbery at a Denny's Restaurant on Monday may be on a new crime spree.

Investigators tell us the trio could be connected to a new round of violent attacks in the Piney Point area on Thursday night.

The Memorial Villages is filled with lovely homes, big yards and usually plenty of peace and quiet, but on August 29, around 10:45 p.m. a couple who d just celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary was returning to their home on Pinewood Circle when two armed men attacked.

We are pretty sure they were followed, said Memorial Villages Police Sgt. Lane Owens.

The gunmen pistol whipped the couple in the driveway, then forced them inside their home and robbed them.

The attackers jumped into a 70s or 80s light blue Oldsmobile Delta 88 four-door car.

Thirty minutes later, police believe the same men robbed two more couples at apartments on nearby Locke Lane. That alone makes police want to catch them.

Being as violent as they are the tendencies they show to be violent and the speed with which they act, Owens said.

Authorities believe these home invaders are part of a larger ring that could be linked to the deadly shooting at Denny s on Monday.

11 News has obtained a copy of a B.O.L.O., a to be on the lookout warning.

It said: It is possible that the suspects in this case are associated with the suspects from the Denny's homicide.

We need to get them taken into custody as soon as possible before any further violence, Owens said.

In Thursday s aggravated robberies the gunmen stole a handgun and shotgun, along with a computer and jewelry.

The couple celebrating their wedding anniversary was treated at a local hospital and was expected to be OK.
