HOUSTON - A woman was killed early Friday when she drove her sport utility vehicle into a concrete wall along the Southwest Freeway, police said.

The crash happened around 4 a.m. as the woman drove on Club Creek, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police said the woman was speeding and for some reason never stopped when she got to the frontage road. The front of her vehicle was crushed, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the medical examiner will help determine a cause for the crash.
