Police said a Chevrolet Suburban was traveling southbound when its driver ran a red light and broadsided an ambulance. The ambulance flipped onto its side, and the two paramedics inside were sent to the hospital in stable condition.

A six-month-old baby in the Suburban was in a child seat and did not appear to suffer any serious injuries, but he or she was sent to the hospital to get checked out.

The SUV s driver was arrested at the scene, police said.

It s a felony DWI because there s a child inside the vehicle, but because of the possible injuries it could also be upgraded, said Sgt. S. Sorge with HPD.
