HOUSTON The boyfriend of a woman found fatally shot inside her northeast Houston home Monday was arrested Tuesday after a police chase, Houston police said.

Ontarius White was taken into custody Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. following a brief chase on the north side of town.

Police chased his white GMC Yukon for 10 to 15 minutes, but the chase never reached high speeds. It started off on Antoine and ended in the 7800 block of Kempwood where police had placed a spike strip.

Officers pulled White from the car, threw him on the ground and put him in handcuffs.

Family members found 44-year-old Priscilla Lindsey dead Monday at about 9:17 a.m. in the 4400 block of Long Climb Canyon, police said.

The family members said they had not heard from Lindsey and went to check on her.

Investigators said she had been shot in the head.
