GRANBURY, Texas (AP) -- Homes built by volunteers from Habitat for Humanity were among the hardest hit by a tornado that killed at least six people in North Texas.

Those homes are in the Rancho Brazos Estates subdivision of Granbury, where the Wednesday night tornado took lives. Habitat for Humanity officials say that of the homes in the subdivision, 61 were built by the group s volunteers.

Gage Yeager of Trinity Habitat for Humanity in Fort Worth said most of those homes were damaged, including at least a dozen that were destroyed.

Raul Rodriguez considers himself one of the more fortunate of the Habitat homeowners. After riding out the storm with his family in a hall closet, he emerged to find his home damaged but still standing.
