FRIENDSWOOD, Texas An 18-year-old woman is not expected to face any charges after she accidentally struck and killed a pedestrian in Friendswood late Friday, according to Friendswood police.

Police said a woman was walking in the roadway on FM 528 at W. Nasa Blvd. around 11 p.m. when she was struck by a Chevy.

The young woman driving the Chevy did not know what she hit, but immediately pulled over to investigate.

That is when she found the woman lying on the ground and called 911. The driver stayed with the victim until help arrived, but she could not be saved.

Police said they do not believe the driver was at fault, but are investigating the accident.
