HOUSTON - A church in south Houston was still standing Friday morning after firefighters were able to contain a blaze to the attic area of the building.

It was reported around 3:50 a.m. at the True Believers Baptist Church on Yellowstone Boulevard at Lozier Street, according to the Houston Fire Department.

Firefighters found flames shooting from the back roof area of the building.

Investigators said the fire started in a back office and spread to the attic. Arson investigators are looking into what sparked the fire.
