HOUSTON -- A knock at the door Wednesday evening led to an armed robbery of a Houston family s home.

Officials said it happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 9100 block of Caddo Road in northeast Houston.

The robbery began with a gentle knock at the door.

Felipe Carmona, 23, answered the door when three gunmen, wearing bandanas and hoodies, kicked their way in. Carmona was at home with his parents, his 4-year-old brother, 8-year-old sister and 14-year-old step brother.

Officials said the suspects ransacked the house. They stole electronics, games, DVDs and jewelry. They also drove off in Carmona family s yellow Nissan truck.

The family says the truck is missing its tailgate.

Anyone with information about the suspects or the robbery should call Houston police at 713-884-3131.
