HOUSTON Houston police have released surveillance video in hopes that the public will recognize a group of suspects who shot a young man outside a convenience store in southwest Houston on December 8, 2012.

Police said 18-year-old Eduardo Magana and a family member entered the Speedy Mart at 7433 Bissonet around 9:20 p.m. and purchased something to drink. As they walked to their vehicle, a man exited an unknown make and model, dark-colored, four-door vehicle. The man walked toward the men and then behind their vehicle. Moments later, a second unknown suspect began shooting while Magana and his relative were sitting in their vehicle. During the shooting, a third unknown suspect approached from the parking lot and also began firing at Magana s vehicle.

Magana suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported by Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he remains in stable condition. His family member was not injured.
