HOUSTON A woman from Bryan, Texas demanded justice outside the Houston hospital where two of her sons were taken after being gunned down and left for dead.

The victims were shot after attempting to sell rims they had listed on Craigslist.

It s not right for people to do this, said Monica Cabrera. They should pay for what they did.

Authorities said 21-year-old Jason Cabrera and his 16-year-old brother Alex Hernandez traveled to Houston to meet with two individuals who responded to the advertisement.

The rendezvous point was near the Greenspoint Mall. Authorities said eventually one of two suspects hopped in the car with the brothers and they drove to a northwest Harris County apartment complex.

At that point, one of the suspects produced a handgun shooting the victims multiple times and stealing the rims, said Deputy Thomas Gilliland, a spokesperson for the Harris County Sheriff s Office.

Despite having been shot in the face, Cabrera was able to pick up the phone and call his mother.

I just heard, Mom, I love you. We re dying, she said.

Both boys were rushed to the hospital, Cabrera with a gunshot to the face and Hernandez with three bullets lodged in his back.

They managed to identifyone of the suspects,Deaundre Garner, through a photo lineup.

Neither Garner nor the second suspect was in custody as of Monday.

The victims mother delivered a message for people selling products over the Internet.

Be careful. Please be careful, she said.

Both victims were in serious, but stable condition.
