HOUSTON -- One thousand dollars for one cup of coffee?

A generous Sugar Land man paid/donated the money to a group of students at Manvel High School in Alvin ISD. The special needs students typically pour, stir and serve coffee to raise money for their life skills program.

They make and sell coffee and espresso to teachers and staff on-campus. They charge anywhere between $.75 to $1.50 for hot beverages.

Randy Hartley heard about their hard work and wanted to reward them with the generous donation.
