HOUSTON Authorities are searching for a husband accused of shooting his wife to death Friday night in their Missouri City home, police said.

Lance Hilton, 45, has been charged with murder, according to the Houston Police Department.

According to investigators, police were called to a home on Ridge Rock at Krause after 10:30 p.m. and found Marian Hilton lying dead in her bed.

Her young daughter, who is about 11, heard her parents arguing. She went downstairs to find her mother dead.

I woke up, got on my Facebook page and there it was, said Wayne Anderson, one of the victim s brothers.

She was the seventh child out of the 12 of us. She was a real beloved sister, said Ronald Anderson.

Hilton s brothers are trying to get it together; they are heartbroken.

Can t tell you about her, not now, said Anderson.

Police are still searching for Lance Hilton, but have only found his car in southeast Houston.

What s hurting me the most is I want to know why. I m not doubting my brother-in-law, because he s a good guy too, Anderson said.

To me, he was a good guy. He was OK. I just don t know, I just don t know, I just don t know, Anderson said.

The couple had been married for about five years.

We are loss for words; I don t know what else to say. I m speechless right now. She was a good woman, everybody loved her. She never had problems with nobody. We are close. The family is a close knit family. We look out for each other, said one brother.

Hilton worked in the records department at Methodist Hospital in the Medical Center downtown. She has three daughters and two grandchildren. Her grandson was born a month ago.

It s like a dream. It s not real. I find it hard to believe. Honestly, I find it hard to believe. Tell her I love you. That s all I can tell her, said the brothers.

Family members said Hilton s daughter went her dance recital on Saturday. It still has not hit her yet.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Lance Hilton, call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
