HOUSTON Thieves hit two different banks and two cash advance stores Friday along FM 1960 in northwest Harris County, deputies said.

Around 1:30 p.m. an armed robber went in to the Bank of Texas on FM 1960 near Kuykendahl. He demanded money and got away with a stash of cash, deputies said.

Before that, around 7 a.m. Friday, at the Comerica Bank on FM1960 near Hollister three men tried to follow employees into the bank as they arrived for work, but the employees were quick, they got inside and locked the doors behind them.

On Tuesday officials said a man wearing a teddy bear hat assaulted a teller with his gun at the Chase Bank on FM 1960 near Veterans Memorial. He also fired several shots into the wall of the bank.

Detectives are trying to figure out if all the robberies are connected.
