HARRIS COUNTY, Texas-- Emergency responders were called to a steel processing plant in north Harris County late Wednesday after they said a worker injured his hand on a piece of machinery.

It was around 10:30 p.m. when the Harris County Emergency Corp responded to a 911 call at Cyclone Steel on W. Greens at Champions Green.

Contrary toearly reports that the worker had his hand pinned in a piece of equipment, a company spokesman said the ambulance was onlycalled as a precaution. The worker was sent to the hospitalandrequired only stitches in his finger and suffered no extensive injuries.

The companynoted its high safety standards and extremely low incident rate.

As per company policy, the company said Wednesday night's incident remains under investigation.
