HOUSTON A woman collapsed Tuesday during Gov. Rick Perry s speech in the capitol.
The Senate staffer was standing in the back of the chamber when she passed out in the middle of Perry s address to the Senate.
The governor didn t notice and just kept on speaking, but a number of people started calling for help.
Sen. John Whitmire signaled for the governor take a time out and Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst interrupted and called for a doctor.
After a minute or so break, it turned out the woman was fine and the governor even joked about it saying when you talk about raising taxes, some people swoon.
