HOUSTON Thanks to the cool front that moved in Sunday morning, fall weather is back for a sunny Monday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.

There are still a few showers trickling in from the north, but the heaviest rain is heading east and will be out of the area by morning.

Near gale force winds are expected in the coastal region overnight with lows dipping below 60 in some areas. On Monday, lower humidity and clear skies means a beautiful fall day ahead with highs in the mid-80s.
