HOUSTON -- Harris County is buying a new warehouse to store its voting machines.

It's the same one that was used by the late Houston attorney John O'Quinn to store his classic-car collection.

The old warehouse in north Houston burned to the ground last August. Ten thousand machines were destroyed in the blaze.

The new warehouse is at Hempstead Highway and 34th.
It is twice as large as the old warehouse, and will provide storage for several county departments.

The $2 million cost is being picked up almost entirely by the insurance company.
