HOUSTON - A pickup driver was taken to the hospital after she allegedly ran a red light and was struck in southwest Houston late Tuesday, police said.

Firefighters and police responded to the West Loop frontage road at S. Braeswood around 10:45 p.m.

Police said a woman in a pickup was traveling northbound when she ran the light at S. Braeswood. A car struck the pickup, causing the truck to spin and roll over.

The woman was trapped in the vehicle. After she was freed, she was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

No one in the car was injured.
