HOUSTON - An officer responding to an alarm call found two suspects trying to steal a corner store s ATM, police said early Thursday.

The break-in was reported at the El Ahorro Supermarket on Irvington Boulevard at Duff Lane around 3 a.m.

An officer with the Houston Police Department arrived, startling the suspects. The men jumped into their truck and led police to Cochran at King where they ditched the vehicle and ran away on foot.

Back at the store, police said it looked like the men didn t get any cash from the ATM, but other items may have been taken from the business.
