HOUSTON Multiple fire agencies responded to a grass fire Wednesday in Pearland.

The fire started just after 10:30 a.m. and moved along Pearland Parkway near the Lakes at Highland Glen subdivision.

Air 11 video showed heavy white smoke flowing from a wooded area and drifting over homes in the neighborhood nearby.

The fire burned five acres and was extinguished around 12:30 p.m.

There were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is not known.
