HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A deputy constable with Harris County Precinct 4 was sent to the hospital to get checked out after his cruiser hit a deer on FM-1960.

The incident happened near Broze Road around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The deputy was traveling eastbound when the deer ran into the road and was struck. The deer did not survive the accident.
