HOUSTON -- Some hikers in a wooded area near a Houston park have found a body rolled in a carpet bound with tape.
The discovery was made near BrockPark on N. Green River Drive on the northeast side of town.
Houston police say the body discovered Monday afternoon apparently had been dumped in the last few days. Sgt. Robert Torres says a human foot appeared to be sticking out of the rolled carpet.
Investigators are trying to determine the gender and identity of the victim. An autopsy has been ordered.
Police had no immediate details on a possible motive for the death.
