HOUSTON Houston linebacker Phillip Steward has been named a late addition to the South roster for the 2013 Senior Bowl to be played Saturday in Mobile, Ala. The game will be televised beginning at 3 p.m. on the NFL Network.

Steward, along with teammate Jacolby Ashworth, had already been selected for the Texas vs. The Nation Game last Friday. That game is slated for Feb. 2 at 1:30 p.m. in Allen, Texas, and will be televised by Fox Sports.

A first team All-Conference USA honoree, Steward led the league and was 15th nationally with 11 sacks. The senior led Conference USA and was sixth nationally with five forced fumbles. He was second in the league and 10th nationally with 19 tackles for loss.

The Missouri City, Texas, native led Houston and was 10th nationally with 128 tackles. Steward also had three interceptions, three pass breakups, one fumble recovery and 10 quarterback hurries. Steward ended his career with 47 straight consecutive starts.
