HOUSTON -- On the eve of the Texans showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals, cheerleaders and music acts took part in a dress rehearsal and donned their game faces.

This is my first year on the team and I never want it to end, said Lauren L., one of the Texans cheerleaders getting set to perform a brand new routine.

Country music sensation and Houston native Clay Walker, who penned the Texans theme song, also went through the paces.

There s just nothing quite like being at home and being in front of tens of thousands of fans, said Walker.

Some fans lined up at a local mall in hopes of scoring free tickets at a Texans sponsored promotion.

Ryan Dunsmore got a freebee by winning a contest on Twitter -- all courtesy Texans running back Arian Foster.

They re my favorite team and to see them in person is just amazing, said Dunsmore.
