SAN ANTONIO -- An 18-wheeler hauling cases of beer overturned near downtown, halting traffic for several hours on two busy highway ramps.

The I-35 southbound exit onto I-10 west was covered in thousands of metallic blue beer cans and boxesas crews hurried to clear the stinky mess Sunday afternoon.

San Antonio police said the driver took the exit too fast, causing the truck to overturn and spill some of the 7,990 pounds of Bud Light, Natural Light and Busch beer it was hauling.

The driver, who on his way back to New Mexico, was uninjured.
