DALLAS - Ashley Green spent Sunday afternoon with friends and volunteers passing out fliers in the Knox-Henderson neighborhood in Dallas. She is determined to find her attacker.

It really scares me that there's a monster like that on the streets still roaming around who is capable of doing something like that, said the former nurse.

A year ago, Green left a bar on Capitol Avenue after watching the Dallas Mavericks win the championship title. After the game, her friends got in a cab. Green started walking alone to her car a couple of blocks away. Minutes later, someone hit her from behind.

I woke up and there was a man over me, she said. I was crying and I was asking him, 'Why are you doing this to me,' and then he punched me in the face. The next thing I remember was waking up alone on the ground.I didn't have any clothes.I had nothing.

There are no suspects in the case and no more clues, butthe rape survivorrefuses to give up. Shewants her story to give victims the strength to come forward, speak out and keep fighting for justice. She said the support she got from her family and friends has helped with her recovery.

Just by having good friends and family, going to counseling and you have to realize that what happened to you wasn't your fault and you didn't have anything to do with it, Green said. It's just not fair that people can do something like that and get away with it.

A $55,000 reward is being offered in the case. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Crime Stoppers and other concerned citizens donated to the fund. If you have any information that can help investigators, call the Dallas Police Department.
