HOUSTON The sunshine and clear skies should return by mid-Monday morning after an overnight cold front gave us temperatures on the cool side, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

The front moved through with isolated showers throughout southeast Texas. Early morning temperatures were in the 50s.

We're going to see decreasing cloud coverage throughout the day, said Johnson. By this afternoon you're going to see mostly sunny skies.

Monday's forecast high is 69-degrees, but Tuesday will be even cooler.

Mid-60s will stay in placed through most of this week, said Johnson.
