The 2016 Forbes 400 list was released on Tuesday. It lists the richest Americans based on their net worth, and this year, it includes the highest number of sports team owners ever. In 2013, there were 32 owners included, and now 44 are on the list, according to Forbes.

1. Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer

No. 15 overall, Net Worth $27.5 billion, Source of Wealth: Microsoft

Ballmer has been at the top of the team owners list for three straight years.


2. Seattle Seahawks and Portland Trail Blazers owner Paul Allen

No. 21 overall, Net Worth: $18.9 billion, Source of Wealth: Microsoft, investments

3. LA Kings and LA Galaxy owner Philip Anschutz

No. 39 overall, Net Worth: $10.9 billion, Source of Wealth: Investments


4. LA Rams, Arsenal FC and Colorado Rapids owner Stanley Kroenke

No. 58 overall, Net Worth: $7.4 billion, Source of Wealth: Sports, real estate
