Adam "Pacman" Jones, the Dallas Cowboys' newest cornerback, may be responsible for a shooting outside a Las Vegas strip club, according to a Nashville TV station.

A reporter at WTVF interviewed Arvin Edwards, the man now behind bars for the February 2007 incident.

Edwards claims that Jones, who recently signed a four-year deal with the Cowboys, framed him and lied to police about what happened that night outside the Minxx Gentlemen's Club in Las Vegas.

The shooting injured three people, leaving one paralyzed from the waist down.

Jones’ lawyer has said that his client did not know anyone involved in the shooting, and said Jones was interviewed by police that night as a witness, not a suspect.

Las Vegas police have not referred to Jones as a person of interest in the case.

However, one of the owners of the Minxx club told reporters that Jones came and left with the shooter.

Documents uncovered by the Nashville CBS affiliate indicate that Jones claimed Edwards tried to extort money after the shooting. Jones told detectives that he met Edwards the night of the shooting. According to Jones, Edwards suggested that "he would take care of things" for the NFL player during an altercation at the club.

Jones claims Edwards later demanded $15,000 for "services rendered."

The violent gunfire occurred several hours after the 2007 NBA All-Star game in Las Vegas.

Jones reportedly entered the Minxx Gentlemen's club and showered several strippers with cash while they performed on-stage. A scuffle broke out when the women tried to pick up the money.

Bouncers broke up the fight and the entourage moved outside, where the shooting occurred.

Las Vegas police eventually arrested Edwards, 29, of Renton, Washington, charging him with three counts of attempted murder. He is now jailed outside Seattle with a hearing scheduled May 7.

Jones has faced criminal charges three times since the Tennesse Titans hired him in the 2005 draft. All the charges involved incidents at Tennessee nightclubs.

He was suspended by the NFL last season.
