NFL Experience Fact Sheet

The NFL Experience is a spectacular Super Bowl theme park spanning nearly 800,000 square feet of the newly renovated George R. Brown Convention Center, and features more than 50 interactive elements and attractions. America Online Presents the NFL Experience is the largest continuous event, which annually precedes the Super Bowl.
Here are some of the major elements featured at NFL Experience:
• Quarterback Challenge - Fans can show off their passing skills on special targets. • Reebok Run to Daylight - Lace up a pair of Reeboks and try to match strides for 40 yards with the pace set by Kansas City running back Priest Holmes • Pepsi “Punt, Pass & Kick” - A nationwide competition for youngsters displaying various football skills. • Houston Chronicle Down-and-Out - Run a pass route through a maze of simulated defenders to break free for a reception on a ball thrown by an automated “Jugs” machine. •Snickers’ Cruncher The Drive - Challenges you to score a touchdown via horizontal bungee cords. • Gatorade Training Camp – Race through a high-tech training drill, navigating around obstacles, before diving into the end zone over would-be defenders. • Fly for Six - Running backs take a handoff or receive a pass and dive into a cushioned end zone to score a touchdown. • NFL Fair Catch - Adults and children field a booming punt launched from an automated “Jugs” machine. •Extra Point Kick - Convert extra points through regulation NFL uprights. • America Online Player’s Pad – America Online will showcase a superstar’s house at the NFL Experience, featuring all the things you would expect to find in a famous person’s home, including hangers on, lots of toys, and a theater for movies and concerts. The house will also offer a complete interactive experience for fans, including NFL@AOL. Fans will also be able to learn more about the new AOL 9.0 Optimized, as well as information on such topics as safety on the Internet and spam filtering. In addition, AOL members not in Houston will be able to experience the excitement of the NFL Experience through webcast from the AOL exhibit. •Topps Quick Release - Fans see how fast they throw against some of the quickest passers in the NFL. • Southwest Airlines’ Let It Fly - Participants see if they can equal the longest passes in the NFL. • America Online Goal To Go - Fans can demonstrate their short yardage skills by winning a bungee tug-of-war and scoring with a velcro football. • The Big Move - Fans see if they have what it takes to be an offensive lineman in the NFL.
• Topps Super Bowl XXXVIII Card Show - The ultimate trading-card area featuring displays from leading manufacturers, rare collectibles and free player autographs. • NFL Kids’ Zone- The smallest all-pros can enjoy America’s favorite game with scaled-down versions of the popular interactive adult attractions. • IBM NFL Films Theatre- Enjoy the greatest football highlights captured on film. • Wilson Sporting Goods Football Factory - See how official NFL game balls are produced. • The NFL Home Team Photo - Step into a life-sized team photo of the Houston Texans and have a friend snap your photograph. • NFL Measure Up to the Pros - Compare your physical dimensions and athletic abilities to those of the biggest stars in the NFL. • Fantasy Play-By-Play - Announce the greatest plays in NFL history and take the videotape home with you.

WHEN: Friday, Jan. 23, 3 p.m. – 10 p.m. TICKETS: Tickets to America Online Presents the NFL Experience go on sale December 10 and may be purchased by calling (866) TIX-4NFL (849-4635), online at Superbowl.com, and at select TicketMaster outlets in the Houston area including all 16 Foley’s locations in Houston, and the Foley’s location in Beaumont and College Station. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under, and permit entry for a particular day and time. Tickets purchased by phone, online, or at the outlets are subject to a TicketMaster service charge. Tickets also will be available at the George R. Brown Convention Center box office during operating hours, beginning Jan. 23. All advance tickets are subject to a TicketMaster service charge. Tickets provide access to all games and activities. Fans may stay as long as they wish however, re-entry is not permitted.
Proceeds from the ticket sales to America Online Presents the NFL Experience will be donated by the NFL to the NFL Youth Education Town, a multi-faceted educational and recreation facility designed to improve the academic and physical fitness, as well as job-related skills of at-risk youth. Established in 1993, YET Centers are the living legacies created by the NFL for Super Bowl host cities.
