The Houston Rockets will open their seven-game 2008 preseason schedule with a pair of home games against Southwest Division opponents.  On Tuesday, Oct. 7, the team will take on the Memphis Grizzlies at Toyota Center beginning at 7:30 p.m., followed by a match against in-state rival San Antonio on Oct.9. 

Houston will play its first road preseason game on Oct. 11 against the defending champion Boston Celtics with a neutral-site game at Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH. The Rockets will host a neutral-site game against Oklahoma City at the new BOK Center in Tulsa, OK on Oct.13. Houston will travel to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies on Oct. 15 before closing out the preseason with a home-and-home series against the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 17 and Oct. 23.
