Former Oiler player Lathon jailed for assault

Former Houston Oilers linebacker Lamar Lathon is in trouble with the law. He has been charged with assault and was booked into the county jail early Monday.

He was charged in relation to an incident at a local restaurant on April 12 involving his ex-girlfriend.

He posted a $5,000 bond and was released.
