"Amazing Race" couple getting ready for two local races

This time for the Tour de Houston and the MS 150.

If you are a regular "Amazing Race" viewer, you know they are an inspiration to others with their power and positive thinking.

They went through many ordeals to win season seven of the race, and they're currently co-starring in "The Amazing Race, All-Stars."

Joyce says, "At one time both of us were out of work because we both worked for bankrupt companies, you know we just made a choice with our life, you know life goes on. The companies ended but our lives didn't end."

Uchenna worked for Enron and Joyce for WorldCom.

At times the couple feared for their lives as they raced around the world but overall, "The Race" had a positive result on their lives.

"You can never be prepared for what life has to offer you," Uchenna says, "And the race taught us to be present to the moment."

And this weekend will be their first race aboard a tandem bike, which they admit will bring its own challenges.

Uchenna says, "I'm basically a pack mule, every now and then I feel the whip on my back."
