Report: Tiger Woods to withdraw from Safeway Open

Tiger Woods is expected to withdraw from the Safeway Open just three days before the start of the event, postponing his highly anticipated comeback, according to Golf Channel's Tim Rosaforte.

The 14-time major champ hasn’t played a competitive round in a PGA Tour event since the Wyndham Championship in August 2015. He committed to play in the Safeway Open last Friday.

It's unclear whether Woods will play in the upcoming Turkish Airlines Open (Nov. 3-6) or the Hero World Challenge (Dec. 1-4).
