Texans unveil Color Rush uniforms, but won't wear them on TNF

HOUSTON – Nike unveiled the NFL’s Color rush uniforms for all 32 teams Tuesday morning, but Texans fans will have to wait until next season to see the team sport the gear.

The Color Rush uniforms are a mixed of alternate and throwback uniforms for each team. Each squad will wear them for their appearance on Thursday Night Football.

Nike shared an image of Texans cornerback Kareem Jackson sporting the Texans alternates, which are all “Steel Blue,” and feature “Battle Red” numbering with a “Liberty White” outline.

However, the Texans will have to wear road whites to avoid confusion when they face the New England Patriots, whose Color Rush uniforms are all blue too.

The Texans said the team expects wear their Color Rush alternates next season.
