Texans losses weighing on DeAndre Hopkins, Jadeveon Clowney

DeAndre Hopkins and Jadeveon Clowney are the Houston Texans’ two best players.

As such, the wideout and defensive lineman get the unenviable task of facing the media after games. Sunday’s 45-7 loss in Jacksonville was a particularly tough one.

The Jaguars clinched a playoff berth with the dominating victory. Despite their best efforts, Hopkins, Clowney and their Houston mates looked completely overmatched on both sides of the ball.

The losing is not easy for them. Hopkins tried to take a more general overview when asked why the Texans looked so poor. He also credited the Jaguars for a great game on their part.

“It was a lot of things and I can’t point out specific until I watch film, but a lot of things we could do better,” Hopkins said after the game. “But nobody is perfect and Jacksonville played a good game and you have to tip your hat off to them.”

Clowney was a little less diplomatic when asked if the string of losing games was making him frustrated.

“I still am and we got beat again,” the defensive end declared. “They beat us, bad.”
