HOUSTON – The Texans’ recent reality TV series is garnering major recognition.
After their showing on HBO Hard Knocks, the HBO sports docuseries received five Emmy nominations by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The nominations are the most Hard Knocks has ever received in a single year.
Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Houston Texans provided a behind-the-scenes look at second-year head coach Bill O’Brien and the team during training camp as the team prepared for the season.
The show was nominated for:
- Outstanding serialized sports documentary
- Outstanding camera work
- Outstanding editing – long form
- Outstanding music interpretation
- Outstanding post-produced audio/sound
Hard Knocks is co-produced by HBO and NFL Films.
The Texans went 9-7 last season, claiming the AFC South title before losing to Kansas City in the first round of the playoffs.
