Foster says he was concerned about returning to football after back injury

HOUSTON – Houston Texans running back Arian Foster says he was concerned about continuing to play football after suffering an injury to his back last season, according to a recent interview ESPN's Hannah Storm for "NFL Face to Face."

"Anytime an athlete goes through an injury like whether it be a back, neck or even knees or hip…anything that can put you out for the season, you kind of just re-evaluate your life. What is important? Is getting paralyzed more important than playing with your grandkids when you are 50 or 60 year-old?" Foster said.

The Texans running back even alluded to an encounter with former Houston Oilers and Hall-of-Fame running Earl Campbell and how it in affected him.

"Looking at him in a where chair and seeing how the effects of football are affecting him today...," Foster noted.
