Deshaun Watson's surgery successful, should be fine by '18 opener

Deshaun Watson is on the mend after Wednesday’s surgery to repair his torn ACL. According to multiple reports, Watson’s surgery featured no complications and found no additional structural damage in his knee.

His recovery period is anywhere between six and nine months. When he had the same surgery while in college at Clemson he was back as a full participant in practice in just six months. Barring any unforeseen setbacks in his rehabilitation, Watson will be ready to roll for the 2018 NFL season.

The surgery was performed in Houston by Texans team doctor Walt Lowe.
