DeAndre Hopkins joins elite company with amazing receiving production

What do Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Antonio Brown, Marvin Harrison and Herman Moore all have in common? All are legendary NFL wide receivers who will be honored in the Pro Football Hall of Fame at some point, if not already enshrined.

They also all posted amazing production in individual seasons. Through 13 games, they topped 88 receptions, 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns, the only players to accomplish that outstanding level of productivity.

Until 2017…

Texans standout DeAndre Hopkins joined them after his 11-catch, 149-yard and two TD outburst against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday.

Congrats on joining the rarified air of elite wideouts, DeAndre. He’s on pace to top 1,500 receiving yards for the second time in his career. Antonio Brown and Julio Jones are the only other active receivers to accomplish that feat. Hopkins is a full three years younger than either, to boot.
